ALM Partners continued its steady growth in 2020 despite the challenging operating environment. ALM Partners, which provides services to banks and financial companies, grew for the tenth year in a row. In 2020, the net sales of actual business operations increased by 17% with an operating margin of 10%. The result for 2020 was EUR 6.7 million.

ALM Partners’ customers are mainly Finnish, Nordic or Baltic banks and other financial companies. The growth in 2020 consisted mainly of business expansion in Finland. International business also grew but due to the coronavirus pandemic, various travel restrictions posed challenges to it. However, it has been possible to implement and develop international business from a distance during the year.
ALM Partners’ business consists continuous services for financial customers, consulting work and extensive product solutions. We offer special expertise in implementing risk management, asset and liability management, data management, regulatory reporting and business reporting in the financial sector.
The basis of our business operations is created by our professional experts who have both business expertise in the financial sector and technical capabilities to implement diverse services and solutions. The number of our experts increased by 12% during 2020 and recruitment will continue in 2021. Customers are at the heart of all our work and we want to implement all solutions in a customer-oriented, business-friendly and cost-effective manner.

The biggest issues for 2021 are the economic recovery from the interest rate crisis and its effects on the financial sector. Our operating environment is still partly unstable, but the outlook has brightened. Demand for our services has remained stable despite the corona pandemic and we expect demand to continue to grow as the corona situation eases. When planning for the future, risk management and business modeling services as well as data utilization are a great support for our customers.
The changing market situation in the banking and finance sector creates a strong need for ALM Partners’ core competencies, services and solutions now and in the future. Banks’ core systems and information management upgrade projects require a significant amount of expertise and solutions that ALM Partners is able to offer according to customer needs.
In line with our strategy, we aim for annual growth in actual operations of more than 15% also in the future. Our advantage is continuous development and innovation. Changes in the financial sector, even more extensive services and the continuous development investments of previous years will create a strong foundation for the continued growth and internationalization in 2021 as well.
